Secret Santa Chez Nous

My roommates and I all agreed to do a 10-euro Secret Santa gift exchange, so we picked random names last week and are going to exchange gifts/have a Christmas dinner next Thursday. It’s funny because the tradition exists in each of our countries, but we all have different names for it … but none of us really know what it’s called in French! So we’ve resorted to referring to it as “des amis secrets” = secret friends. But when you’re only playing with 7 people who all live together/generally go downtown together/shop together … it’s not too difficult to figure out everyone’s secret! So we will see what elements of surprise are still there when we finally exchange gifts!
